Bishwajit Roy (Masters+PhD+Visa)

I’m Dr. Bishwajit Roy, and I’ve been living in Portugal since 2016 . After completing my 2-year Masters program under Erasmus+ scholarship program from Italy and Spain, I came to Portugal to pursue my PhD with a fully funded FCT scholarship at the University of Lisbon. Now working as a Post Doc researcher at the same university. I’ve already earned the Portuguese nationality and have gained deep insights into student life , culture, and the overall experience of living here as an international student and currently as an employee.

Welcome! I’m Dr. Bishawjit Roy , a climate and sustainability researcher based in Lisbon, Portugal. I currently work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Lisbon .

My academic journey spans multiple countries and disciplines: I hold a Ph.D . in Climate Change & SDP fully funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). I also earned a Joint Master’s Degree in Forest Science from the University of Padova, Italy and University of Lleida, Spain through the prestigious Erasmus+ scholarship program. I also have a, undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh.

Now, as a Portuguese citizen, I’ve made Lisbon my home, where I live with my wife and our son. Because of living in Portugal for a longer time, I have learned about Portuguese culture and language and have gained profound experiences with their administrative system. Therefore, whether it’s about higher study or living in Portugal , or about Erasmus+ scholarship program, I am always eager to support the fellows who want to pursue similar paths through my international experiences.
